DAY 1 : Morning flight from Quito (12h00) to Lago Agrio (12h30). Reception at the airport followed by lunch. Transfer by bus to Chiritza, 1 ½ hours south east of Lago Agrio on the River Aguarico. From here your transportation is by motorized canoe down the Aguarico River until you reach PARADISE HUTS ~ this exciting leg of your trip takes 1 ½ hours. Evening meal. Optional is a nocturnal hike.
DAY 2 : After breakfast hiking in the 100 hectare forest owned by Paradise Huts to see the great variety of species of plants, trees and animal life. You will see the "Ceibo" Tree, the largest tree found in the jungle. Lunch back at the lodge is followed by a visit to the home of an indigenous family to see a demonstration and participation in the use of blowpipes, typical musical instruments and the elaboration of woven goods. Evening meal.
DAY 3 :Breakfast followed by a visit to San Pablo, the largest Secoya tribe community in the region, to learn of their customs and way of life. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon try your hand at paddling an indigenous canoe on the Aguarico River. Evening meal (farewell cocktail for those on the four day tour).
DAY 4 : Early breakfast and departure for Chiritza by canoe and 3 Night Tour then by bus to Lago Agrio to catch the flight back to Quito.
After breakfast departure for Seguayas to visit the local
4 Night Tour shaman who will lead a small hike revealing secrets of jungle life, medicinal plants and their uses. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon try your hand at paddling an indigenous canoe on the Aguarico River. Evening meal and farewell cocktail.
DAY 5 : Early breakfast and departure for Chiritza by canoe and then by bus to Lago Agrio to catch the flight back to Quito.

WHAT TO PACK : Life in the jungle is very informal. Comfortable and lightweight clothes are a must.
Bring long pants, cotton shorts, long-sleeved T-shirts, hiking boots, sandals, hat / cap, sunglasses, rain gear, insect repellent, sunscreen, flashlight with extra batteries, binoculars, reading material, camera and 40 ASA film.
IITINERARY : May be subject to changes due to weather conditions or National Park Directives. The guide may deviate from the published itinerary for any reason he / she deems advisable.
TIPPING : Tipping is at the discretion of our guests. Tips for the guide and bartender are usually given in person.
CLIMATE : In the Amazon region the climate is hot and humid with frequent rain showers. The drier months are from May to October. The temperature ranges from 19°C to 36°C throughout the year. Paradise Huts are at 250 m above sea level.
HEALTH : Immunizations are presently not required to visit this area of the Amazon jungle - it is advisable however to consult your doctor or physician before your trip. We recommend precautions against malaria and yellow fever.
Strong insect repellent should be acquired before your arrival in the jungle.
